Julia was an indefatigable researcher of our Norton family for many years. She was careful and thorough to fault. We have every reason to take very seriously this little note that she scribbled to me in 1978. Family research was vastly more difficult in her day. But, she had residences in Atlanta and New York City and was a frequent visitor to Alabama and she exhausted all the sources available to her at the time. She died before the advent of personal computers and digitized records.
