Mr. Daniel "Junior" Tyler, age 79, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010. He was born on August 2, 1931, to the late Daniel Tyler and the late Mantha Hardee Tyler. Mr. Tyler was the owner of Loris Refrigeration, Heating and Cooling. He was a member of Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Loris and was a retired volunteer firefighter for 40+ years with the Loris Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Billie Jo Prince Tyler; one daughter, Carmen Hardee, and her husband, Glenn; one son, Kendall Tyler, and his wife, Lora; four grandchildren, Zac Hardee, Erin Hardee, Bailey Tyler, and Dylan Tyler all of Loris; one brother, James Tyler, of Raleigh, NC, and one sister, Genese Suggs, and her husband, Tom, of Conway.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 17, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Loris with the Rev. John Holmes, Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook, and Rev. Jeremy Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Cane Branch Cemetery.
The family would like to like to thank his wonderful nurses, Bonnie Tindall and Joyce Samuels, for their love, comfort, and care during his illness.
