Obituary for Carolyn Grainger

Carolyn Lula Todd Hardwick Grainger, 74, loving wife to her soul mate, Larry J. Grainger, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Grand Strand Hospital,  following an extended illness.  Mrs. Grainger was born in Conway, SC to the late Berry and Reba Todd. Carolyn  was a true Southern Lady, who loved and encouraged her family in every aspect  of their lives and taught her children to honor God and His word. She was a  member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, and attended as her health allowed.  Carolyn was loved by the Pine Grove Community and she loved them all. Heaven  has truly gained an angel. She will forever be our Christmas Angel.  She worked for many years in the furniture industry and was also self-employed  as an upholsterer until her retirement in 1995. She was well respected for her  craftsmanship.  Carolyn is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Larry (Red) Grainger, her  youngest daughter, Tammie D. Hardwick, her daughter, Jamie Paul and spouse  Tim, and the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Kelly Paul. In addition, she  leaves behind her sister, Mary Wayne Martin and spouse Tommy, brother,  George (Buddy) Todd and his spouse Mary Francis, brother, Paul Todd and his  spouse Shirley, as well as many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She is also  survived by her beloved dogs, Nettie Maude and Petee.  Mrs. Grainger was predeceased by two daughters, Terry Hardwick McKee and  Mary l. Hardwick, whom she is rejoicing with in heaven.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. John Holmes and Pastor Jonathan Mishoe Officiating. There will be a Visitation one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery.
