Also, Berry shows all children listed here as children of Richard listed in a sale by his heirs on Jan 27 1839.  Also listed is R.F. Marlow, relationship not stated.

7.    Lorenzo Dow Bellamy Sr. was the son of (6) James Bellamy (born 1800) and Margaret Emily Jenerette.
Lorenzo married Mary Permenter, daughter of Samuel Permenter and Elizabeth Claridy.  Their issue were as follows:
a.  James Samuel, married Mary Vick (daughter of William G Vick and Ms. _____Edge) whose issue were:
a. Arthur Chapman born 11/26/1884, married Hortena Mae Hughes
b. William Ernest, born 5/4/1889, married Sarah Eliza Edge (note:  Sarah, Annie and Carrie were sisters)
c. Otha Plowden, born 6/6/1900, married Annie Clyde Edge
d. James Drawdy, born 7/24/1896, married Carrie Edge
e. Elma, married Egbert C Gore
f. Jessie 5/5/1898-2/5/1920
g. Also four other girls, Eva, Lula, Novie and Ivey

6.    Lorenzo´s father James was born in 1800, son of Richard Bellamy Sr and Elizabeth, married Margaret Emily Jenrette.
5.    Richard Bellamy Sr was born to John Bellamy IV and Sarah Frink, and married Elizabeth Grisssett.  He died in 1839.
Note regarding the Wilmington, NC connection:  Richard´s brother John Bellamy V was born in 1750, died Sept  1826, married Elizabeth Vaught, daughter of Mathias Vaught and Martha Mercy Todd, married  2nd to HC Williams.  John V was the father of Dr. John Dillard born 9/18/1818, married Elizabeth McIlheny Harriss and resided in Wilmington, NC.  Dr. Bellamy was very successful businessman and active in the Democratic party.  He built a flamboyant new mansion on the corner of Fifth and Market in Wilmington in 1859.  He was an active supporter of the succession.
4.    John IV born circa ____, married Sarah Frink (whose grandfather was Nicholas Frink of Stonington, CT).  John and Sarah lived in the Buck Creek area of Horry County.  Their issue were:  Abraham married Claremond Bellamy;  John V, Richard Bellamy (5) married to 1) Mary Marcy Todd and 2) Elizabeth Vaught (daughter of Matthias Vaught)  and Elizabeth married William Graham.
3.    John III born circa 1700 - owned a large plantation on the Santee River in Georgetown, SC with Francis Marion, ``The Swamp Fox´´ on one side and Robert Heriott of England on the other side.  His son, John IV moved to Buck Creek.
2.    John Jr born circa 1670, left Barbados and came to Charlestowne, SC with Sir John Yeamans.  He received his first grant of land in the St. Johns Parris between the Ashley and Cooper Rivers.  He later moved to the Goose Creek settlement.  He was the father of Timothy, Joseph and John Bellamee III.
1.  John (Jean) born circa 1640, died March 1667 in Barbados, West Indies.  He was married to Martha Popham of Sommersetshire, England.
