Mr. Jeffery Fred Carter, age 50, died Thursday morning, June 21, 2007 following a sudden illness. Born April 8, 1957 in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Jason Carter. Mr. Carter was a Certified Pipe Welder with Thompson Industrial, a US Army veteran, and a member of the Waccamaw Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his mother: Freddie Triplett and her husband Carson of Loris, SC; his wife: Martha Davis Carter of Longs, SC; five sons: Joseph Christian Carter and wife Chantelle of Conway, SC, Joshua Ryan Carter and wife Brittany, James Gregory Carter, Jacob Dennis Carter, and Jordan Carson Carter all of Loris, SC; two daughters: Amanda Gail Suggs and husband Derrick, and Alyssa Michelle Carter, also of Loris, SC; two sisters: Brenda Gail Crabb and husband Greg of Hampton, VA, and Cindy Woolridge and husband Bill of Richmond, VA; two brothers: Richard Jason Carter of Jacksonville, FL, and Johnny Triplett of Yorktown, VA; two nieces Jessica Cox and husband Marshall and son Luke, and Emily Crabb; and four grandchildren. Mr. Carter was predeceased by a daughter Andrea Leigh Carter and two brothers Andy and Greg Carter. 
Funeral services were Sunday afternoon (June 24, 2007) at 2:00 PM from the Hardwick Memorial Chapel with committal services following at Buck Creek Cemetery. The Reverends Mack Hutson and Donnie Graham  officiated. Memorials were made to the Gideons International, PO Box 93, Loris, SC, 29569. Services directed by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris, SC.
