Earl Logan Wynings Sr., 70, died Monday, June 19, 2000. A native of Mainville, Pa., he had been a resident of Carrollton for two years. He retired as an agent for State Farm Insurance, Newport News, after 37 years of service and was a member of the Village Church. Mr. Wynings was preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold E. Wynings of New Jersey and Theodore J. Wynings of Pennsylvania. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wynings; three sons, Earl "Chuck" Wynings Jr., and his wife, Joy, of Carrollton, Barry K. Wynings of Newport News and Eric R. Wynings, and his wife, Beth, also of Newport News; six grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Charles and Rachel George; and four brothers, Alvin K. Wynings of Mainville, Pa., Clair E. Wynings of New York, Harry R. Wynings of Pennsylvania and Doyle F. Wynings, also of Pennsylvania.
