Obituary for Lumina Inman

Conway...Lumina Collins Inman, age 96, wife of the late Robert Manson Inman, of Old Reaves Ferry Road, died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Inman was born in Nixonville, SC, a daughter of the late Jonah David Collins and Emma Jane Parker Collins. She was the oldest member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church where she was Sunday School teacher, WMU officer, and many other roles. Mrs. Inman loved fishing, avid bowler, caring and cooking for the sick and needy, playing games with her grandchildren, and always ready to help anybody in time of need. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Collins Inman; six brothers, Victor, Luther, Grady, Lindsay, Rollie, and David Collins.

Surviving are two sons, Eldridge R. Inman (Nell) of Conway, Waldo D. Inman (Barbara) of Thomasville, NC; a sister, Elsie Collins Vaught (Marion); five grandchildren, Robin Vezina (Perry), Dave Inman (Stacey), Karen Boling (Andrew), Iris Fowler (John), and Ray Inman; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Elma H. Collins and Edith Collins; numerous devoted nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank loving caregivers, Pearl Tyndall and Pat Mignon; as well as the Mercy Care Hospice and Staff.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Tilly Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Evans and Rev. Lindsey Inman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

Pallbearers include Dave Inman, Blaine Inman, Seth Boling, Colby Vezina, Andrew Boling and Larry Inman.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
