Longs....... David Odell "Olean" Stalvey, Sr., age 81, of the Red Bluff section of Horry County died Sunday, April 30, 2017.
Mr. Stalvey was born in Conway, a son of the late Henry Odell and Cecil Jeanie Chestnut Stalvey. He was a member of Waccamaw Baptist Church and Woodman of the World. Prior to retirement, he was a farmer and the owner of the Eaglesnest Convenience Store in the Red Bluff community. Mr. Stalvey was an avid antique collector and owner and operator of Stalvey's Mobile Home Park. He was predeceased by his wife, Brookie Stalvey, a son, David Odell Stalvey, Jr.; 4 brothers, Claudell Stalvey, Henry Stalvey, Adell Stalvey, and Ricky Stalvey; and a sister, Jewene Gerald. 
Surviving are: his companion, Joyce Williamson of Conway; one son, Delane Stalvey of Longs; one daughter, Reponsa Stalvey of Loris; grandchildren, Brittany Stalvey, Shenea Ward (Blake), David Odell Stalvey, III; great grandchildren, Abel Ward and Clarissa Stalvey; 4 sisters, Patsy Inman (Larry) of Conway, Deletha Norris (Coy Lee), Ivadell Crouse and Peggy McDowell, all of Loris; sister in law, Bonnie Stalvey of Galivants Ferry; several nieces and nephews; and Joyce's children and grandchildren, Martin Williamson (Heather), Tracey Campbell (Brian), Mishellie Smith (Alex), Moriah, Zachery, Ryder, Matthew, Henry, and Kolton.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday from Waccamaw Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Whitner and Rev. Lindsey Inman officiating. Burial will follow in Grainger Cemetery in the Red Bluff community.
The family will receive friends at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Monday.
