Willie Joe Wilson, 63, of the Daisy Community, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at his home after an illness.
Mr. Wilson was born in Loris, S.C. on Oct. 30, 1940. He was the son of the late Joseph Lauren Wilson and the late Alma Boyd Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired from the maintenance department at the Loris Community Hospital after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Swamp Fox Tractor Club and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Chellie Causey Wilson of the home; one son, Mr. Billie Wilson and his wife, Michelle of Loris; one daughter, Mrs. Audrey W. Booth and her husband, Jimmy of Loris; one grandson, Derek Booth; and one granddaughter, Bayley Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was predeceased by twin daughters, Betty Jo Wilson and Kathy Jo Wilson.
The funeral will be held 3 p.m. Friday, from the Macedonia Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Jimmy Caines and the Rev. Bill Thompson. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery, directed by Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
