Lloyd H. Hardee 
LORIS _ Lloyd Henry Hardee, 75, of the Pleasant Grove community, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at Loris Community Hospital after an illness. He was born Sept. 11, 1922, in Loris, a son of the late J. Goal and Zellie Gilmore Hardee. He was a retired tobacco farmer, and he owned and operated a general grocery store. He was a member of Loris First Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and he received the Purple Heart. Survivors include a son, Dr. Gwynn Hardee of Loris; a daughter, Saundra Swygert of Lexington; a brother, Berkley Hardee of Ashboro, N.C.; four sisters, Bertrice Todd of Loris, Alberta Brinson of Loris, Catherine Cox of North Augusta and Marie Harrell of Suffolk, Va.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Loris First Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Twin Cities Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Loris First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3117 Main St., Loris 29569.
