Jerry Mack Cline ROCKWELL -

Jerry Mack Cline, 73, of 885 Roy Cline Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at his home. Born Aug. 8, 1932, in Rowan County, Mr. Cline was a son of the late Roy A. Cline and Ruby Stirewalt Cline. A lifetime resident of the area, he graduated from Pfeiffer College, now Pfeiffer University, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. Mr. Cline was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for approximately 30 years until his retirement. He was a life-long member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in China Grove, where he formerly served on the church Council and in other phases of church activities. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Nancy Shepherd Cline; son Mark F. Cline and wife Pam of Goose Creek, S.C.; daughter Lisa Cline Todd and husband Jimmy of Lawrence-ville, Ga.; and grandchildren Caroline Todd and Madelyn Cline. Service : 11 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in China Grove with the Rev. Michael Comer and the Rev. John Sell officiating. A private burial will be held at the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation : 7-9 tonight at Whitley 's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Memorials : Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O.
